# Chapter 7: Palesa

Four months later

"WAIT, let me guess. You're moving out?" Nadia asked over a cup of coffee.

"Not yet. But it only makes sense... I'm there most nights now."

"I know. I'll miss you. I'll miss this."

"Me too. I'll still come by before work, and we can have our morning coffee chats."

"You promise?" Nadia asked, her voice hopeful.

I nodded. "Of course."

"Good. I kind of have a secret, anyway."

"A secret? What?"

"I've been dating someone, and he's been staying here a lot..."

"Ah! How could you not tell me?"

"I'm sorry! You were busy with Tshepo, and I don't know, we only got serious recently. But yeah, I was thinking of asking him to move in."

"Oh my God! Nadia! That's so great!"

Nadia laughed as I pulled her in for a hug. "You're happier because I'm not lonely now."

I rolled my eyes affectionately. "Well, I mean, it is a perk. But who would've guessed we would be in love and in relationships?"

"Not me!" Nadia slurped her coffee, and I tossed a piece of muffin at her.

"Hey, we might even end up with a double wedding," I teased.

Nadia blanched. "Now slow down... no one said anything about a wedding," she joked, but I wouldn't mind if Tshepo put a ring on my finger. I was secretly hoping he would ask me soon. Not that I was in a rush, but I was so madly in love with him, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Becoming his wife, having his babies... it's like my biological clock jumped into high gear overnight. But the first step was moving into his place. I'd tackle the rest as it came.
